“Will Benefit Middle Class”: PM Modi On New Vehicle Scrapping Policy
Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched a national vehicle scrapping policy, adding it will help remove vehicles that are not feasible and pollute.
Vehicle cutting policies will bring an investment around ₹ 10,000 crore, he said.
PM Modi made a comment in the video address to the investor summit in Gujarat. This summit aims to get investments related to preparing vehicle scrapping infrastructure.
“Scrapping vehicles will help remove vehicles that are not feasible and pollute in an environmentally friendly way,” said PM Modi.
“Vehicles will not only be removed by their age, but also if they are found not feasible in automatic testing,” he said.
“This policy will be very beneficial for our middle class,” he said. The certificate will be issued on the cutting of an old car. This will ensure that these people get a discount to buy a new car and take advantage of taxes, he added.
“We promote a circular economy. The aim is to develop a sustainable and environmentally friendly economy,” said PM Modi.
“Modernity in mobility not only reduces travel and transportation, but also proved to be useful for economic development,” he said.
