‘That ’90s Show’ Netflix Series: Everything We Know So Far

Forman Red and Kitty return for interesting new continues from the 70s which are displayed exclusively on Netflix. The new 30-minute comedy series from Carsey-Werner is in development with plans planned to enter production at the beginning of 2022. We also get some of the exclusive new character details for the series so let’s recap all known as Netflix.

Booked back on October 2021, the new show returned our hours into the mid 90s where all the children from the 70s showed now and moved from Wisconsin.

This new series was arranged in 1995 and saw Eric’s daughter and Donna visit her grandparents for the summer. He quickly made friends (more about who these friends are below) with new children who live in Point Place, WI.

Bonnie and Terry Turner, the original co-creator of the series will return as an exhibition. Their daughter Lindsey Turner will also be involved in the process of writing and Gregg Mettler who are also involved with the original performances.

Who will starred in the 90s showing Netflix?

So far, only two members are confirmed as part of the original announcement.

Kurtwood Smith will return to disband his role as Reginald “Red” forman.

Debra Jo Rupp will also return to play Kitty Forman.

We can also reveal some of the new characters we can expect to see in That 90s Show although it’s worth noting that character names are subject to change. Let’s run through the new characters:

  • Leia Forman (14 years old) – Daughter of Eric (Topher Grace’s character from That 70s Show) and Donna (Laura Prepon’s character from That 70s Show) and described as book smart and coltish.
  • Gwen (14 years old) – Described as a petite and edgy powerhouse who dresses with pink hair and ripped jeans.
  • Nate (16 years old) – Gwen’s older brother and described as a corn-fed Midwestern and drives around in a beat-up old Dodge minivan.
  • Jay (15 years old) – Described as a true romantic, Jay is an aspiring film director and constantly carries around his camera.
  • Ozzie (14 years old) – Gwen’s best friend who is gay and not afraid to show it. Also described as incredibly honest.
  • Nisha (15 years old) – This female character comes from a family of overachievers and while she’s intelligent and always volunteers she’s also got a rebellious nature. She’s also dating Nate.

Given we’re going to see Eric and Donna’s daughter in the series that could suggest Laura Prepon and Topher Grace will be back but that’s yet to be confirmed officially. We could see them cameo when dropping off Leia at the beginning of the series or at the end.

Will members of the other actors start in the 70s appear? It was possible but as we had talked about before the comments made by Valderrama and Kutcher suggested, it was no way we would see it again.

When will the 90s display a movie?

According to the production list that is seen by what is on Netflix, the show is currently eyeing pre-production to start the camera rolling in early 2022 in Los Angeles.

Will the 70s show back to Netflix?

One of the questions you might visit is whether Netflix will crush the rights of the original series, the 70s displayed.

For those who are unconscious, Netflix brings global streaming rights to the 70s shows for several years before Netflix loses rights in September 2020.

More than a year later, the show still hasn’t found a new streaming house but remembering the connection to the 90s, we can see the relicense Netflix. Given the newly discovered Netflix relationship with Carsey-Werner we hope to see more collaboration about new revival or projects but may also see their old library licensed to Netflix. Hit from their back library including titles such as those produced for life, 3rd stone from the Sun, Rosanne, and a different world.
