Why experts say India does not need a population policy
India’s experiments with population control go back to the years preceding Indepedence and presently experts say that not only have most targets been met but also the demographic situation is at an advantageous level.
Indian experiments with fertility control programs returned to the period before their independence. In fact, it was one of the first countries to introduce the official birth control program which was intended to reduce the population growth rate, but to this day the size of the population relative and fertility levels remain a controversial problem in the political selection.
