‘Raising Dion’ Season 2: Netflix February 2022 Release Date Set & What We Know So Far
Raising Dion is one of the hits that is not possible at the end of 2019 and considering watch statistics, it is also one of the biggest debut shows for this year. With an update approaching instant, Raising Dion Season 2 has been developed for a long time but unfortunately is one of the most disturbed performances in 2020. Finally, however, however, season 2 has been released to reach Netflix on February 1, 2022.
Only to recap if you miss it, Raising Dion is a series of Netflix superhero-drama based on the comic book series with the same name by the writer Dennis Liu.
This series was originally adapted into a short film in 2015 and gained many online popularity. It only took a few years later before Netflix booked a series for themselves who returned in 2017. Dennis Liu had a lot of involvement in Dion’s maintenance production, he directed the episode of the executive series throughout.
Raising Dion Season 2 Netflix Update Status
After a few months waiting after the 1 season debut, Netflix announced that Raising Dion would return for the second season. In fact, it is the first official Netflix update in 2020.
With an update, the variation is noted that Carol Barbee will return as Showrunner for the season 2. Michael B. Jordan, Kenny Goodman, Kim Roth, Dennis Liu, and Macro Charles D. King will all remain in the role of executive producers too.
This series gained instant popularity at Netflix. In June 2020, the series is currently sitting at A 72/10 on IMDB. Meanwhile, at MetaCritic Raising Dion is currently in 61 of 100.
Since the release, we now know how many people check the first season on Netflix too. More than 32 million households checked Raised Dion in the first four weeks on this service. In addition, we know that 60% viewers come from outside the United States.
What is expected from Raising Dion Season 2
Apart from Cliffhanger Ending Displays Who will be the enemy Dion goes to season 2, our young superhero still needs to find a way to bring home his father forever.
The young man still has many things to learn about his strength, and if he is finally becoming a superhero Dion must face many challenges along the way.
If the story of raising Dion can walk for at least four seasons, it would be nice to watch characters and actors grow into a young man.
Elsewhere, other big questions including whether Nicole will be able to find love with the remnants of expectations in the last episode.
Charlotte, Pat, and Mark are all lost but can return in some forms depending on what happens next. Finally, when Digitalspy speculated, we finally could meet other talented children too.

“Season 2 followed Dion because he continued to sharpen his strength with his mother’s support and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona coach who caught Nicole’s eyes. After making friends with Brayden’s new students (Griffin Robert Faulkner) – a child’s colleague – a series of worrying events And Dion knows that the danger is still towering. Navigating the bend, spinning, and surprisingly visitors, Dion and Nicole have to win again – not just to save themselves, but the whole city of Atlanta. “
Where does season 2 collect Dion in production?
Current production status: production starts in January 2021 and is expected to have been completed (last updated: July 2021)
As we stated above, production did not run under the original plan because it was canceled because of a pandemic that raises severe delays in production.
Initially, production was originally set to start at a certain point in 2020 with one Netflix account saying:
“I have news friends !! #raisingdion has been officially updated for the second season, with production began this year !!!”
However, with all production misery due to restrictions on Covid-19, which was significantly pushed back.
However, production was made in January 2021.
Production will occur for several months with a preliminary date that shows that filmmakers took place from January 19 to May 24.
Season 2 again arranged to films in Atlanta, Georgia, especially Screens Permata Studios.

Various casting calls took place in early February 2021 for additional search events.
Richard Vialet was posted on April 25 that he had wrapped his episode in the season of 2 shows.

Dennis Liu will also return to the director’s seat for season 2 and is scheduled to direct episodes 3 and 4.
The show is expected to have completed filmmaking but considering how limited social activities on our show cannot be sure. We know that the show is registered on the Georgian country website and is no longer present.
New cast members for Raising Dion Season 2
In late February 2021, Netflix revealed four new faces that would be appearing in Season 2 of Raising Dion.
They include (as seen above from left to right):
- Rome Flynn who appeared in How to Get Away with Murder who will play Tevin Wakefield
- Aubriana Davis who appeared in Genius: Aretha who will play Janelle Carr
- Tracey Bonner who appeared in Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias will play Simone Carr
- Josh Ventura who appeared in P-Valley will play David Marsh
Rome Flynn posted on Twitter following the announcement saying: “I’ve always wanted to be a superhero. Honored to be part of another show with representation at the Forefront.”.
In addition, we can confirm that Michael Anthony who has appeared in Chicago Med, The Outsider and Dynasty will appear in season 2 as Garry Stafford.
Scott Daniel Johnson will play Joe.
Everything else we know about Raising Dion Season 2
- The only new cast member announced so far is Jacqueline Cureton who is set to play the role of “Upcoming Grandmother”.
- Darren Grant who has worked on The Chi, Queen of the South, and Wu-Gang An American Saga will direct two episodes of Season 2
