Omicron especially dangerous for the unvaccinated, warns WHO
Echoing a recent problem was revealed by WHO that people incorrectly considered Omicron as light, the central government said on Wednesday that Omicron was “not a normal flu.”
The omicron variant of Covid-19 is dangerous, and especially for those who have not been vaccinated against this disease, the World Health Organization said Wednesday.
“While Omicron causes a disease that is less severe than Delta, it remains a dangerous virus, especially for those who are not vaccinated,” said Head of Tedro Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a press conference.

“Not so simple and should not be done very lightly,” said Member of Niti Aayog (Health) Dr. VK Paul said during the Ministry of Health’s weekly press conference. “And even if Omicron looks less severe, it’s because the vast coverage of vaccination that we have achieved. The same Omicron has challenged the health infrastructure of many countries.”
Providing an overall picture of the Covid-19 Country Country situation, the Ministry said the total 300 districts in India reported the covid-19-19 case of Covid-19 cases more than 5 percent.
Maharashtra West Bengal, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Gujarat are a concern, the ministry said.

The level of Delhi’s position is around 23 percent.
