Netflix throws Brooklyn nine-nine stars Melissa Fumero in ‘Blockbuster’
We just got the news that Brooklyn nine-nine stars Melissa Fumero will play the lead at Netflix’s Comedy Series Blockbuster. Here are some early details about who he will play and recap of what we know so far about the series.
When we first reported returning in November 2021, Netflix ordered a half-hour comedy series that would see comedy ensembling stars as workers at the last blockbuster video store left in the United States.
Since the first report, Netflix then confirmed the project only a week or more then with Randall Park involved. We have also learned that production on this show will take place at several points on February 2022. Recently, the deadline exclusively revealed that Payman Benz was directing episodes in the upcoming series.
It led us to today where we can confirm Melissa Fumero has joined the cast.
As mentioned, Fumero also plays DET. Amy Santiago in Brooklyn nine-nine which is a big hit for NBC and streaming at Netflix internationally at this time. That means Melissa will be arranged with Vanessa Ramos who served as one of the two performances working in Brooklyn nine-nine.
The actress is also currently photographing the battle of independent comedy features written / directed by Jim Mahoney and also starring Rachel Bloom and can be found at Marvel’s M.O.d.o.K. Series is currently available in Upper.
Fumero will play Eliza described as a dedicated mother who is married to her high school lover on rock. Eliza continued to leave Harvard after one semester to start the family and now work in blockbuster with Timmy (Randall Park) as number two trusted … and maybe more.
