Netflix Superhero Series ‘Supacell’: What do we know how far
After the great success of the Dark Horse Comics Adaptation of Umbrella Academy, Netflix learned further into the genre of super heroes and would work with Rapman to develop Supacell, a new series of a group of superpower blacks. This is all we know about Netflix’s Supacell.
The new Sic-section series will be written and directed by Rapman aka Andrew Onwubolu. Credit includes Blue Story, Shiro’s Story Short Movie Trilogy, American Son and more. Rapman will also produce together with Mouktar Mohammed and producer Associate Henrietta Lee, both new waves.
This series is part of Netflix’s big boost from the England Netflix department. Anne Mensah, Vice President of Netflix from U.K. Series, comment on this:

Then, his first film production of the film ‘Blue Story’ produced £ 4.7 million at the box office.

What is the supacell plot?
Not much is known about supacell in terms of plots other than the fact that it will become a sci-fi superhero series. Here is a logline for Netflix’s Supacell:
A group of ordinary people from South London unexpectedly developed super power without clear relationships between them but they were all black. When they deal with the impact on their daily lives, a man must bring them together to protect what he loves – all while avoiding strong and evil agents who have noticed their special abilities.
Who was thrown in Supacell?
In December 2021, there were no members of the actors announced for Supacell Netflix.

What is the production status of Supacell?
Supacell Netflix is currently under active development with written scripts and pre-production starting immediately. Production is planned to start when in 2022 in the UK according to Hollywood reporter.
Production for 1286 confirmed that filming will take place between July and December 2022 in London. It is not clear whether filming will take place at Netflix’s Sheperton Studios.
How many episodes will be in supacell?
Hollywood reporter confirmed that Netflix’s Supacell will have six episodes. Each will have a 60 minute runtime.

Netflix’s has not announced the release date for Supacell, but given the beginning of filmmaking 2022, it might be released around 2023.
