In Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, bodies of criminals hanged from excavators: Report

In a fresh set of shocking images that have surfaced from Afghanistan, three men were hanged from excavators in the western precinct of Herat. The images were carried by The Sun, which said in a report that the men were incriminated of indulging in snatch.

The tabloid quoted deputy governor Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Muhajir to report that the three men were killed after entering a man’s home to steal him.

The Sun report also said in its report that locals were seen clicking shots of the bodies hanging by their necks in Obe quarter of Herat in full public view.

In the onetime week, the Taliban have arrested 85 declared malefactors, some impeached of petty crimes, and others of murder, rape and theft, said Noor Ahmad Rabbani of the group’santi-crime department.

On at least two occasions in Kabul, petty robbers were paraded around the routes to humiliate them, pinioned, with their faces painted or with stereotyped victuals stuffed in their mouths.

Since the Taliban preemption, multitudinous Afghans sweat harsh nemeses to return, in consonance with the strict philosophy the group practices. During their last time in power in the late 1990s, the Taliban levied their harsh interpretation of Islamic law.

That included corrections like the hand amputations, enactments of homicides with a single ball to the head, most hourly by a relative of the murder victim and all carried out in public. Religious police beat men for trimming their beards or for not attending prayers.

Gun- conveying Taliban have taken up positions at checkpoints across Kabul and piecemeal some have been made to wear uniforms-the inceptions of a new civil security force, reported news agency AP, quoting officeholders.

For legion Kabul dwellers the sight of the fighters is dread as they drift the boulevards freely, with their autograph long hair, traditional dress and Kalashnikov rifles hanging by their sides.
