Committed to trade deal with India, but need to get things right’: UK PM Rishi Sunak

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Wednesday he remains married to the trade deal with India, but needs to get “ these effects right”. Both India and Britain launched accommodations for the free- trade agreement( FTA) in January with an end to conclude addresses by 24 October, but the deadline was missed due to political developments in the UK.

There are 26 chapters in the FTA, which include goods, services, investments and intellectual property rights.The commerce ministry has reportedly fixed an internal deadline to conclude the addresses on the trade agreement by March 2023.
